Hello! My name is Amy, and I go by Library Aims in the online world. I am the Children’s Department Head at a rural public library in Oklahoma, where I connect kids, families, and educators with books, stories, and meaningful learning experiences.
Before working in libraries, I was a teacher and had the opportunity to teach both in the United States and internationally. Those experiences shaped my passion for literacy, inclusive learning spaces, and joyful, hands-on education.
Where Library Aims Began
My online journey started on Facebook as a way to share library programs, reading recommendations, and educational resources with the families and educators I served. What began as a simple space to connect locally soon grew into something more.
Library Aims has since become a place where I share programming ideas, book lists, and practical tools for librarians, teachers, and anyone passionate about supporting children’s learning and curiosity.
